When you enter our school it is clear that Combe St Nicholas is a Church School.

 

Our vision is clear for all to see and it is clear too in the more subtle demonstrations of our commitment, in the values that are evidenced

through the family tree – our whole school family – and in the value we place on the achievements that the children make in seeking to live the Christian Values.

 

A display of the children’s feet is evident in each room under the heading ‘We are Walking with Him’ The children and teachers nominate each other for a Christian Value sticker and these are celebrated in our weekly Celebration Assembly.

 

Each class has a prayer book and a reflection area. The altar in the hall is covered with a cloth that represents the Liturgical Year.

The school’s deeply embedded vision led by a highly committed leadership, has created a vibrant, deeply Christian learning community

in which both adults and pupils flourish. Dedicated staff, governors and clergy share the inclusive vision which inspires and directs every aspect of school improvement.

 

Pupil’s character development is exceptional. They are developing into courageous advocates for social justice. They regularly take the initiative in fundraising activities, raise awareness of ecological issues and serve others practically, both locally and around the world.
